Lighthouse Inn Bar, Restaurant May Open This Year

NEW LONDON, CT — The popular bar and restaurant at the Lighthouse Inn may reopen as early as fall of this year, as reported by the New London Day. The reopening will come on the heels of many updates and repairs made to the property's main mansion.

According to the Day, much of the damage was caused by roof leaks which had seeped into the floors, walls and ceilings of the building. Now that most of the structural work in the 26 guest rooms is complete, the owner will now focus on finishing the first floor where the bar, kitchen and banquet area are.

The reopening is highly anticipated by many in New London who have fond memories of staying at the inn or attending special events there, according to the Day.
