MA Man Arrested In New London For Solicitation Of Minors: PD

NEW LONDON, CT — A Massachusetts man has been arrested on charges that he attempted to solicit sexual acts from juveniles, according to a statement from police. Aidan Mello, of Swansea, MA, was charged with two counts each of criminal attempt of first-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a minor, and use of a computer to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity.

Mello's bond was set at $100,000.

His arrest Wednesday morning came after an investigation by New London Police detectives and members of the FBI-New Haven Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force.
