"Make We Joy," the Beloved Winter Solstice Celebration Returns to New London Thanks to Flock Theatre and Mitchell College
Make We Joy returns, performing at Mitchell College's Clarke Center on Sunday, December 6 at 4 pm and 7 pm. Free and open to the public.

After a year hiatus, Make We Joy is returning just in time for the holidays thanks to Flock Theatre. The beloved 30-year-old tradition is a multi-cultural celebration of the winter solstice with folk-dance, choral music, mummers, poetry, ritual, and more performed by community talents from many backgrounds.
Flock Theatre has now taken ownership of the event under the direction of Derron Wood, the main producer of Make We Joy since 1992, and will hold it at Mitchell College in its Clarke Center (not Connecticut College, where it was held prior).
Make We Joy will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Mitchell College’s Clarke Center with two showings at 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Admission is free and open to the public, however donations are welcome which will help revive this event and ensure that it will continue for years to come. Donations can be made in advance to Flock Theatre for Make We Joy at flocktheatre.com under the Support Flock section. For more info email makewejoy@gmail.com or call 860-443-3119.
