Man Charged With Dealing Fentanyl, Cocaine In New London: Police
Police arrested a man accused of being in possession of 402 bags of fentanyl and 31 grams of crack cocaine.
NEW LONDON, CT — Police arrested a man accused of dealing fentanyl and cocaine, according to a police statement. Officers from New London Vice and Narcotics with assistance from the Statewide Violent Crimes Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop in connection with an ongoing investigation at 27 Water St. on Wednesday at 2:29 p.m.
Police found the driver, Richard Ortiz, 55, of Windsor, was in possession of 402 bags of fentanyl along with 31 grams of crack cocaine and $2,032 in cash.
He was charged with two counts of possession of narcotics with intent to sell and two counts of possession of narcotics.

Ortiz was held on $25,000 bond and appeared in court Thursday.
