Man Charged In Shooting: New London Police

The man was arrested on a warrant in connection with a shooting in New London, according to police.

NEW LONDON, CT — A Norwich man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in New London last July, according to police.

The shooting happened July 30 at the intersection of Blackhall Street and Prest Street, according to New London Police Capt. Matthew Galante.

Galante said investigating officers determined that no one was injured, but property was damaged during the shooting.

Surasak Stowe, 23, was identified as a suspect following an investigation, according to Galante.

Stowe was arrested Monday on a warrant and charged with first-degree reckless endangerment, illegal discharge of a firearm, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, first-degree criminal mischief, criminal attempt at first-degree assault, and carrying a pistol without a permit. He was being held in lieu of a $200,000 bond with a court date of April 21, according to state judicial records.

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting, according to Galante.
