Man Had Large Quantity Of Drugs, Guns, Ammunition, New London Police Say

A man was arrested Wednesday after police searched his New London home.

NEW LONDON, CT — A man was arrested after police said they found a large quantity of drugs, guns, and ammunition at his New London home Wednesday.

Local, state, and federal law enforcement made the arrest at an apartment on Bank Street following a search.

Police said they found a large quantity of drugs and guns at the home of Nestor Pagan, 42.

Police seized 6.2 grams of heroin, 47.4 grams of cocaine, 69.1 grams of crack cocaine, and 50 Alprazolam pills. Investigators also recovered cutting agents and three digital scales.

Authorities also found multiple guns and accessories, including a Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol with an obliterated serial number, an Intratec Tec-22 pistol, extended magazines, and more than 100 rounds of ammunition.

Pagan was arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including four counts of possession of narcotics and possession with intent to sell, as well as operation of a drug factory, criminal possession of firearms, and possession of a large capacity magazine. He is also charged with alteration of a firearm identification and possession of an assault weapon.

The investigation remains active, police said.

“This operation demonstrates the effectiveness of multi-agency collaboration in addressing drug trafficking and illegal firearms in our community,” Police Chief Brian Wright said in a statement. “We remain committed to working with our law enforcement partners to keep dangerous drugs and weapons off our streets.”
