Man Injured In New London Scooter Crash Dies, ID Released: Police
A man who suffered life-threatening injuries in a scooter crash last week has died, according to police.
NEW LONDON, CT — A man injured in a scooter crash last week has died, according to police.
Police responded at 10:56 a.m. Wednesday to a report of two scooters involved in an accident on Broad Street near the entrance to Cedar Grove cemetery. Police arrived and found a male victim unresponsive in the road.
That person was taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Raymond Getty, 68, of New London, died to his injuries Friday, police said.
The other driver involved was also taken to the hospital with treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
