Man Shot At Downtown New London Bar: Police

A man was wounded in a shooting Thursday night, according to police.

NEW LONDON, CT — A man was injured in a shooting at a New London bar Thursday night, according to police.

Police responded to a call at 8:54 p.m. reporting shots fired and a possible gunshot wound victim at Favorites Bistro Bar at 90 Bank St.

Police arrived and found a 27-year-old man who suffered a gunshot wound to his lower extremity.

Officers provided medical aid and the victim was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The shooting does not appear to be a random act, police said.
