Man Shot, Killed In New London; Police Investigate

NEW LONDON, CT -- A man was shot and killed in New London on Tuesday evening, according to police.

Police responded to a call at 6:18 p.m. reporting gunshots fired and a possible gunshot wound victim at 22 Moore Ave.

A man had suffered gunshot wounds to his torso area. Officers at the scene of the crime provided medical aid.

The man was then taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. He was later declared dead.

The incident doesn't appear to be random, police said.

The victim's identity has not been released.

Police are investigating.
