Man Suffers Serious Injuries in Stabbing Incident: New London Police
BREAKING: Police say they have detained a suspect who was found at the scene by police.

NEW LONDON, CT — A man is accused of stabbing a man inside a New London apartment and the victim is listed in serious condition, police said.
Police said at 7:42 p.m. officers responded to 200 Montauk Ave. for a disturbance involving a stabbing. Immediately upon arrival on scene, officers located a male, later identified as Terry Pipkin, 51, with traces of blood on his person attempting to leave the location, police said.
As a result, Pipkin was detained by officers for investigative purposes, police said. Inside the apartment, officers located a male victim with severe lacerations in the area of his face, neck, and stomach, police said.

The victim was immediately transported to L&M Hospital for medical treatment. Detectives responded to the location to collect evidence, process the scene, and conduct interviews, police said. The victim was subsequently transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital for further emergency medical treatment and listed in serious condition, police said.
Pipkin of no certain address was arrested and charged as follows: first-degree assault and carrying a dangerous weapon.
