Man Threatens Federal Agent with Gun at Stop Light: New London Police
Police said they arrested a man after he threatened a federal agent with a gun at a stop light.

NEW LONDON, CT - Police said they arrested a man Friday after receiving a 911 call from a federal agent who reported being threatened with a firearm by another driver while driving an agency car. The incident occurred in the area of Eugene O'Neill Drive and Governor Winthrop Boulevard, police said.
The agent told officers that he was following the suspect's vehicle and requested police assistance, according to a release. The agent also provided a vehicle description, registration, and direction of travel, police said.

Police said officers located the suspect in the area of Reed Street and Wausau Place. The agent was in plain clothes and the suspect was wearing a Dunbar security uniform, according to police.
The suspect was later identified as Jason Gross, 29, of Colchester. Further investigation revealed Gross had drawn a gun on the agent while stopped at the traffic light at an intersection.

Gross was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment, threatening and breach of peace. Officers also seized a Smith & Wesson 40 caliber semi-auto pistol and ammunition.
