Motorcyclist Dies, 3 Others Injured In New London Crash: Police

A motorcyclist killed in a three-vehicle accident in New London on Sunday has been identified, according to police.

NEW LONDON, CT — A man was killed and three others were injured in a three-vehicle accident in New London on Sunday afternoon, according to police.

The New London Emergency Communications Center received reports of the crash in the area of Colman Street and Vauxhall Street near the entrance to the New London Shopping Center at 4:47 p.m. Police and firefighters responded.

Two sedans and a motorcycle were involved in the crash. Four people were taken to Lawrence & Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The man on the motorcycle, Curtis Barkdull, 45, of Sturgis, South Dakota was declared dead at the hospital.

An investigation into the crash remains active.
