Movie-Themed Jazz Bar Opens In Downtown New London

The newest addition to downtown offers "classic cocktails, handmade creations, and small bites."

NEW LONDON, CT — A speakeasy with live music is now open in Downtown New London.

The Marquee held a grand opening last week at its 312 State St. location.

A live jazz performance will be Friday from 7:30 to 10:15 p.m.

The establishment is described on its Facebook page as: "A movie theater themed jazz bar bringing classic cocktails, handmade creations, and small bites."

The venue will be open 3 p.m. until late every day except Tuesday.

The Marquee includes seating for 45 people with a small stage and a speakeasy with seating for another 20.

The spot is the former home of DEVS/Nico's, The Connecticut Scoop reported.
