MYSTIC, CT — Nickel Beer Day celebrates local breweries and the 19th century . . . a time when a beer cost five cents.
On April 27 and 28, from 12:00–4:00 p.m., join us at Schaefer's Spouter Tavern for live music, fresh off the grill food, and local beer sampling. $10 buys your 2-ounce tasting mug and 5 wooden nickels to sample your choice of 5 local beers. Brews from Whalers, Grey Sail, Schooner Mystic, and Beer’d will be available to sample. Representatives from the breweries will be on hand to talk and answer questions.

Live music will be performed on Saturday afternoon 1:00-3:00 p.m. by Ethan Cash outside Schaefer's Spouter Tavern. Ethan Cash is an independent singer/songwriter/recording artist from New London, Connecticut, who has been singing and playing guitar in live bands since age 14. He has recently launched a rising solo career with the release of his debut solo album titled "This Love Will Burn Forever."
