New London Business Owners Angered Over New Sidewalks

Businesses claim poor work has been done on the Bank Street sidewalks.

The Bank Street sidewalks will be reevaluated by city officials due to negative feedback from businesses owners, according to The Day.

During an information meeting Tuesday, residents complained to that recent sidewalk repairs were insufficient, The Day reported. The aforementioned work included filling in cracks and the use of an epoxy, which many claimed was already cracking.

Public Works Director Brian Sear said at the meeting that the sidewalk would now be reevaluated, while some sections may be completely replaced, as reported by The Day. Previous sidewalk work was part of a $2.3 million overall roadway improvement project approved for 2016.
