New London Cannabis Retailer Higher Collective Open For Business
The city's first cannabis retail store held a grand opening Thursday. It marks the third Higher Collective store to open in the state.
NEW LONDON, CT — New London's first recreational cannabis retail store, Higher Collective, has opened at its 595 Bank St. location.
Higher Collective New London will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays.
"Higher Collective New London isn't just another retail shop," according to a press release, "it's a beacon of community, diversity, and innovation within the cannabis industry. With a strong commitment to social equity, Higher Collective aims to redefine the cannabis retail experience by offering a wide range of high-quality products and services, bringing a new level of inclusivity to the local cannabis community."

Tori Garrett is the owner of Higher Collective New London.
“I'm extremely excited and grateful for our New London store opening and am looking forward to working with our team to build a strong relationship within the community," Garrett said in a statement.

The store will employ around 20 people to start.
A grand opening for the store was held Thursday afternoon.
Higher Collective opened its first two locations in Killingly and Willington last month.
The Willington location features the state's first drive-through cannabis service.
Higher Collective isn't stopping there: the store plans to have another location open in Hartford around Thanksgiving.
