New London City Council Elects New Leader: Report

New London City Council members elected a new council president during their yearly leadership vote.

NEW LONDON, CT — Don Venditto received unanimous support from fellow City Council members and was voted council president during their yearly leadership vote Monday, the New London Day reported. He replaces Anthony Nolan in this position.

According to the New London Day, John Satti was elected to replace Venditto as council president pro tempore, and will serve as president and run meetings in Venditto's absence. Both Satti and Venditto are Democrats in their second terms on the council.
