New London Coast Guard Station Crew Rescues Two Near Plum Island
Crews used a side tow to bring the pair to the Niantic River.

NEW LONDON, CT -- A man and a woman were rescued Wednesday night by members of Coast Guard Station New London, The Day reported.
Members of the station said the two were in a boat that began to take on water due to a fracture, according to The Day. A crew was sent to rescue them close to 7:30 p.m. using a side tow.
Members of the Goshen Fire Department assisted in the rescue, according to The Day. Neither of the victims were injured.
