New London Couple Arrested After Firing Guns from Back Porch: Police
The couple was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm.

NEW LONDON, CT – Police arrested two residents after allegedly shooting a rifle from the back porch of their home, The Day reported.
Robert Sanchez, 22, and Rachel Whittinghill, 18, were charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm from their Hamilton Street home, according to The Day. Police were called to the residence close to 9:45 p.m. after someone reported hearing shots fired.
The shots did not injury anyone but caused minor damage to a barn-type structure behind the home, according to The Day. Police seized a Ruger .22-caliber rifle that had been made to resemble an M-16 military-style rifle.
