New London Emergency Crews Revive Cardiac Arrest Patient
A tree removal contractor suffered a cardiac episode and fell from a tree Friday afternoon.

NEW LONDON, CT — Firefighters and paramedics successfully revived a 62-year-old man who suffered a cardiac episode Friday afternoon. Crews responded to the call at 23 Willetts Avenue at 12:12 p.m.
The patient, a tree removal contractor, had fallen out of a tree while using a chain saw. When firefighters arrived, they found him lying on the ground unconscious.
Firefighters and L+M paramedics began CPR and applied a defibrillator. The patient was revived and transported to L+M Hospital.

"The quick response time and actions by the New London Firefighters and L+M Paramedics led to a successful outcome of reviving the patient after he went into cardiac arrest," a statement from the fire department reads.
