New London Fire Displaces 8 People: Report
A fire at a New London home Wednesday morning displaced eight people.
NEW LONDON, CT — Firefighters extinguished a blaze at 39 Truman St. on Wednesday morning, according to a fire department tweet. Firefighters found smoke on the second floor and a fire in a bedroom. The fire was brought quickly under control.
However, the blaze, started by a candle, left eight people displaced, The New London Day reported.
One adult was checked for smoke inhalation and no other injuries were reported. The damage was contained to the second floor of the home.

The American Red Cross is providing assistance to the four families affected by the fire, according to The New London Day.
