New London House Guest Gone Wrong
New London police arrested a New Haven man for allegedly attacking a man with scissors.

A New Haven man was arrested on Tuesday, March 10, after he was asked to leave the Dell Avenue residence he had been staying in for a few days.
Officers were informed that Edward Lugo, 33, of 112 East Pearl St., New Haven, fled the scene after an alleged altercation took place around 7:23 p.m.
The victim told police that Lugo had been staying with him for a few days and was asked to leave, New London Deputy Police Chief Peter Reichard said.

âLugo returned to the apartment and the victim saw that Lugo had hid a handgun in a dresser,â police said. âThe victim became concerned and tried to stop him, when Lugo tried to stab the victim with a pair of scissors. A struggle ensued and Lugo fled the apartment.â
Lugo was apprehended a short distance away. Police arrested him on the following charges:

- Criminal possession of a handgun
- Criminal attempt/assault in the second degree
- Assault in the third degree
- Trespassing in the first degree
- Disorderly conduct
He was charged with an outstanding warrant for violation of probation. Lugo is being held on $125,000 bond.
