New London Housing Authority Fires Director
The New London Housing Authority Board of Commissioners has voted to fire its Executive Director.

NEW LONDON, CT - The New London Housing Authority Board of Commissioners voted Tuesday to fire Roy Boling from his position as Executive Director, the New London Day reported. The board will now be exploring the possibility of hiring a management company to run the authority.
The board decided by a vote of 3-1 to terminate Boling's contract, which allows the board to do so without cause if given 30-days notice, according to the New London Day. His firing comes less than a year after his hiring in January. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)
The board also voted to rehire Lee Erdmann as interim executive director, who held the position briefly last year following the firing of former executive director Sue Shontell in November, the New London Day reported. Boling told the Day he planned to fulfill his obligations over the next 30 days.
