New London Housing Commissioner Issued Warning Letter: Report
The authority cited interference in its day-to-day operations as a reason for the letter.

NEW LONDON, CT — The New London Housing Authority issued a letter to one of its commissioners last week warning her not to visit authority property without permission from the executive director, the New London Day reported. The authority cited interference in its day-to-day operations as a reason for the letter.
According to the New London Day, the letter also warned commissioner Kathleen Mitchell to refrain from "unsolicited communications" with authority residents and employees. Mitchell told the Day she was "infuriated" by the letter and that it is her questioning of the authority's decisions that has made waves.
The letter was issued by the Housing Authority’s attorney, John Casey.
