New London Man Arrested on Heroin Charges

Police executed a search and seizure warrant execution after a lengthy investigation.

At 7 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, New London Police VICE and Narcotics Division executed a search and seizure warrant for the residence located at 25 Beckwith St., New London.

An arrest was made after a lengthy investigation that included information obtained from concerned citizens.

During the search, residents noticed a large quantity of heroin packaged for sale, anabolic steroids, monies and packaging material.

Officers placed Steven Brown, 39, under arrest on the following charges:

  • Possession of heroin
  • Possession of heroin with intent to sell
  • Possession of narcotics
  • Possession of a controlled substance (two counts)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Brown is being held at New London Police headquarters in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
