New London Man Charged With Arson Murder: Police
A New London man has been charged with arson murder in connection to a March blaze.

NEW LONDON, CT — A New London man has been charged with arson murder in connection with a March crime, according to police. James McKinnon, 60, of 70 Farmington Ave. Apt. 1V, was charged with arson murder and first-degree arson.
He was arrested Sunday night and held on $1,000,000 bond.
Police received several 911 calls reporting a structure fire at 40 Blackhall St. on March 29 at 5:45 a.m. The fire was brought under control, then an unconscious 64-year-old man was found inside the building.

The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment but later died. The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the death a homicide, according to police.
