New London Man Charged In Sexual Assault Of Juvenile Victim, Police Say
A report was made to police in December regarding the inappropriate relationship.
NEW LONDON, CT — A man is facing charges in the sexual assault of a juvenile victim, according to police.
The Plainville Police Department's Special Victims Unit received a report of the crime in December.
An investigation found that Luis N. Diaz, 21, of New London, had an inappropriate sexual relationship with a victim in October.

Police arrested Diaz on Wednesday.
He was charged with second-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a child, and illegal sexual contact.

Diaz was held on $75,000 cash/surety bond. He will be arraigned Thursday in Superior Court in Danielson.
