New London Man Faces Gun, Drug, Assault Charges

NEW LONDON, CT — A man is facing drug, gun, and assault charges, according to police. Taquez Scott, 18, of 47 Linden St., was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell. He was held on $25,000 bond.

Police also served an arrest warrant on Scott for third-degree assault on a pregnant person, risk of injury to a minor, and second-degree breach of peace. Bond was set at $25,000 for these charges.

New London police, members of the federal Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agency, and members of the Statewide Narcotics Task Force East served a warrant at 24 Robinson St. on Monday morning.

Police seized a 9mm firearm, 6.4 grams of crack cocaine, $2000 in cash, and two dirt bikes.
