New London Man Hides in Storage Area, Violates Conditions of Release: Police
The incident stemmed from the 31-year-old man allegedly striking a female in the face.

New London police arrested Timothy Douchette, 31, on Sunday, March 15, after an investigation revealed he allegedly struck a female victim in the face and “was carrying on in a disruptive manner.”
A search revealed prescription pills packaged for resale, according to a press release from New London Police’s Deputy Chief, Peter Reichard.
New London resident Douchette was arrested on the following charges:

- Breach of peace (domestic violence)
- Possession of narcotics
- Possession of narcotics with intent to sell
He posted the $7,500 bond with a bondsman and was released, with a March 16 court date, Reichard said.
Upon being released from police custody, Reichard said Douchette returned to the residence, in violation of the conditions of release set forth in the Criminal Appearance one and Conditions of Release Family Violence.

He was found hiding in a storage area on the property, police said. Douchette is being held in lieu of $250,000 bond.
