New London Man Sought for Two Years Found, Charged by Police: Report

A man who was the subject of a 2014 manhunt has been returned to the state and arrested in Westbrook.

NEW LONDON, CT – A man that has been sought after by police for two years has been captured, according to The Day.

William Villano, 30, of New London was arrested in Westbrook last Friday on multiple warrants, according to The Day. His capture had previously been the cause of a massive manhunt in 2014 that led to the lockdown of an Old Saybrook neighborhood.

Villano had previously been suspected of a number of larcenies, one of which led to him bleeding, according to The Day. Police were able to connect DNA evidence to track down an incarcerated Villano in New York and bring him back to the state, where he will face trial on Sept. 9.
