New London Market Badly Damaged In Fire: Report.

NEW LONDON, CT — A New London market on Mountain Avenue was damaged in a fire Sunday night, according to a social media post from New London Firefighters L-1522.

While fire companies were responding, dispatch told firefighters they were receiving multiple calls of fire showing.

Mutual aid was called in from the Sub Base Fire Department, Waterford Fire Department, and Groton EMS.

The fire marshal is investigating the blaze.

There were no injuries in the fire. However, the building was significantly damaged and two people from a basement apartment were displaced, according to The Day of New London.
