A New London police officer sustained minor injuries when his gun fired recently, according to a report.
NEW LONDON, CT — A New London police officer suffered minor injuries due to what appears to an accidental firing of his gun, according to The New London Day. The incident involved Officer James Suarez and occurred in Groton.
A Groton Town police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Suarez, who was in his police uniform, sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was not hospitalized, The New London Day reported.
