New London Officer Suspended On Use Of Force Charges: Report
Police said a New London officer has been suspended on charges of excessive use of force.

NEW LONDON, CT - The New London Police Department said an officer has been suspended on charges of excessive use of force, as reported by the New London Day. The alleged incident occurred in June 2016, according to police.
Police said Officer Deana Nott allegedly struck a handcuffed man in the face after he was arrested for beating up another man, according to the New London Day. The alleged strike came after the suspect shouted profanities at officers and stuck his foot out the door of the cruiser to prevent officers from closing it.
The incident had been under investigation by the department, the New London Day reported. Nott's attorney told the Day he believed the officer's suspension would last for seven days.
