New London Park Named Top Place In CT For Labor Day Celebration
A New London park won a recent poll as the best place in Connecticut for a Labor Day BBQ or picnic.
NEW LONDON, CT — It's Labor Day weekend and that means it's time to kick back and enjoy those last few drops of summer. And if you're wondering where the best place in the state is to take part in the time-honored American tradition of grilling up burgers and hot dogs, you don't have to go very far.
Fort Trumbull State Park in New London was selected as the top spot in the state for Labor Day BBQs and picnics by FamilyDestinations.com.
More than 3,000 people voted in the survey. Lake Waramaug State Park in New Preston finished second in Connecticut.
