New London Police Issue Warning On Dirt Bikes, ATVs
Police said the "illegal dirt bike/ATV riding on NL streets is extremely dangerous and beyond concerning."
NEW LONDON, CT — Police are asking the public to help stop illegal dirt bike and ATV riding. Police said in a statement that illegal dirt bike/ATV riding on NL streets is "extremely dangerous and beyond concerning. It is a tremendous quality of life/public safety threat that these reckless dirt bikes/ATVs are creating within our community."
They said that residents should take photos and videos and forward them to publicportal@newlondonct.org or https://newlondonpdct.evidence.com/.../public/dirtbikes. Police stressed that residents should only take videos if it is safe to do so and poses no safety risk.
Residents can also submit information anonymously via the New London Tips 411 system by texting NLPDTip + the info to Tip411 (847411).

"Let us know who these riders are and where these bikes/ATVs are kept and we can attempt to manage this dangerous activity before someone gets seriously hurt or much worse," police wrote.
