New London School Superintendent’s Contract Extended
The Board of Education voted unanimously to extend the contract of Manuel Rivera.
NEW LONDON, CT- School Superintendent Manuel J. Rivera’s contract will be extended for another three years after a unanimous vote last week by the Board of Education, according to The Day.
The extension will take his contract to the year 2021, The Day reported. Rivera is barely a year into his already-established three year contract that runs from July 2015 to June 2018.
Rivera has received an overall rating of 368 out of 400, as well as a score of 3.5 out of 4 from the school board, The Day reported. He has already publicly said he wants to stay in New London for 8 to 10 years before retiring.
