New London Schools Employee Killed In Single-Car Crash
A New London schools employee died when her car struck a tree early Sunday morning.

NEW LONDON, CT — A New London schools employee was killed in a single-car crash in Hebron early Sunday morning.
Sydney Ledoux, 23, of Bolton, died in the accident, according to state police.
She was driving a 2016 Ford Escape at 2:08 a.m. northbound on Gilead Street in Hebron. Police said that "for an unknown reason" the car left its lane, crossed over into the southbound lane, then left the road, striking a mailbox and a tree.

Ledoux was the only person in the car.
New London Superintendent Dr. Cynthia Ritchie said that Ledoux was a district-wide speech and language pathology assistant who worked in several of the district's schools, according to WFSB 3-TV. Ritchie described Ledoux as "an incredible, positive influence in our district."
