New London Spared Major Hit To State Aid Under Malloy Plan
New London would only receive $15,000 less in fiscal year 2019 than it has already been allocated by the General Assembly under Malloy plan.

NEW LONDON, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.
Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.
New London actually makes out better than most towns in the state - only receiving $15,425 less under Malloy's plan than what the legislature approved. Malloy wants to give New London $35.94 million; the legislature approved $35.95 million.
