New London Tire Slashing Suspects Sought by Police

Do you know anything about the alleged vehicle vandalism? Police ask residents to be on the lookout for suspicious people or activity.

More than 35 car owners in New London awoke Saturday, Jan. 3, to find their tires had been slashed overnight.

New London Deputy Chief Peter Reichard said the alleged vandalism took place in the area of Montauk Avenue, Colman Street, Hempstead Street, Boulder Drive, Home Street and Ledge Road.

He is asking residents to call police at 860-442-4444 or 860-447-5269 if they see any suspicious activity or people loitering.

All calls will remain anonymous, Reichard said.
