New London Woman Clocked At 109 MPH With 2 Kids In Car: State Police
A woman was arrested after police say she was speeding recklessly with an infant and a small child in her car.
NEW LONDON, CT — A woman was caught driving 109 mph with an infant and a young child in the car, according to state police.
A state trooper clocked a car going 109 mph in a 65-mph zone on Route 2 eastbound in Marlborough on Saturday at 8:56 p.m.
The trooper turned on their cruiser's emergency lights and siren and attempted to catch up to the car, which continued speeding.

Once the trooper was behind the car, the driver complied and came to a stop in the right shoulder. The trooper exited their cruiser and saw that an infant and a young child were in the back seat.
Police identified the driver as Brianna Guerin, 21, of New London. When a trooper asked her why she was speeding, Guerin said "that she needed to use the bathroom, despite having passed several rest areas prior to the traffic stop," according to state police.

Guerin was arrested and taken to Troop K in Colchester for processing. She was charged with illegal operation of a motor vehicle under suspension, reckless driving, two counts of risk of injury to a minor, and second-degree reckless endangerment.
She was released on $1,000 cash/surety bond and scheduled to be arraigned in Manchester Superior Court on Nov. 18.
Police made a referral to the Department of Children and Families as a result of the incident.
