Newspaper Sells Historic New London Building To Maine Developer
The Day has sold its historic headquarters to a development company for $1.875 million, according to a report.
NEW LONDON, CT — The Day has sold its headquarters at 47 Eugene O'Neill Drive for $1.875 million to Maine developer High Tide Capital, which has a track record working with historic buildings, according to The Day. The two sides signed a sales agreement Monday after years of discussion.
The four-story, 116-year-old building was listed for sale in February 2022 for $2.65 million.
A High Tide Capital principal said that plans for the building are in the early discussion stages but will likely include expanding the park space at the front of the structure and adding commercial and residential spaces.
