No Dogs Allowed on New London's Public Beaches: Animal Control

Just a friendly reminder to everyone that there are NO DOGS allowed on any of the public beaches in New London (Green’s Harbor or Ocean Beach).

There are no time constraints on the enforcement of this ordinance. Any time you are seen on the beach with a dog, you will be asked to leave.

Despite popular belief, this ordinance is not only in effect when the beach is “open.” Leashed dogs are welcome in the park area at Green’s Harbor, but are not allowed at all on the Ocean Beach property.

Please don’t yell at or argue with the ACO when they have to enforce these rules. I’d love to take my dog to the beach too.
