Obituary: Arthur "Art" Raymond Falconi, 65, of New London
Art was a drummer in a number of bands who enjoyed listening to, composing and performing rock, blues, jazz, fusion and country.

NEW LONDON, CT - Arthur "Art" Raymond Falconi, 65, of New London, died tragically on Sept. 6, 2017, when a tree fell on his livery Town Car on Pequot Avenue during a storm. Born at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital on July 18, 1952, Art was raised in New London.
He is survived by his brother, Gary Falconi of Orange, and his loving companion of seven years, Kathy Vega. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Mary Falconi.
For more than 20 years, he was employed as a taxicab driver for Harry's Livery LLC in New London. He then began driving a Town Car to transport individuals to medical appointments.

Very popular with his clients, Art was continually praised for his compassion and patience.
At 17, Art traveled to the Woodstock Music Festival and this experience inspired him to pursue a lifetime of music. He enjoyed listening to, composing and performing rock, blues, jazz, fusion and country.

An avid fan of the Grateful Dead, Art was a drummer in a number of bands over the years.
To celebrate his life and love of music, Art's friends and family are invited to an informal gathering at 2 p.m. on Sept. 16 at Fort Trumbull State Park in New London.
