The grounds include a reservable pickleball court for members along landscaped paths and gardens that attract seasonal monarch butterflies, giving visitors a reason to linger and return beyond a single event. Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. He then was employed at Electric Boat for 36 years and retired as a Mechanical Inspector.He is survived by his longtime companion Beth Crosley; son David J Mazzella: sisters Louise McCracken and Judith Kelsey; brother John Mazzella. He was born May 11, 1946 in Waterbury to John Irving Mazzella Sr. and Gertrude Dutcher.After graduating from Waterford High School he joined the US Army where he was honorably discharged. He then was employed at Electric Boat for 36 years and retired as a Mechanical Inspector.

He is survived by his longtime companion Beth Crosley; son David J Mazzella: sisters Louise McCracken and Judith Kelsey; brother John Mazzella. He was preceded in death by brother Anthony Swienciki.Services are private.
