Office of Health Care Access Approves Lawrence + Memorial, Yale New Haven Health System Merger

HARTFORD, CT – The Department of Public Health’s Office of Health Care Access (OHCA) announced Thursday it had approved the affiliation between Lawrence + Memorial Healthcare and the Yale-New Haven Health System.

Lawrence + Memorial Corporation (L+M), which owns and operates Lawrence + Memorial Hospital, has agreed to transfer ownership to Yale New Haven Health Services Corporation(YNHHSC), owners of Yale New Haven Hospital and the Yale New Haven Health System.

OHCA approved the agreement reached between YNHHSC and L+M, which contains several conditions placed on the agreement by OHCA. Numerous additional conditions were also voluntarily agreed to by the two parties.
