Officers Investigating Crowbar Beating at Mitchell College: New London Police

NEW LONDON, CT - New London police and Mitchell College are continuing to investigate a crowbar beating that occurred last month, the New London Day reported. Police said the incident occurred in the early morning hours of April 7.

Police said several people stormed onto the campus that Friday morning and beat a student there with a crowbar, according to the New London Day. The victim was sent to the hospital as a result of facial and other injuries sustained in the incident. (To sign up for New London breaking news alerts and more, click here.)

Police were alerted to the incident after receiving reports of what seemed to be about 10 people, some of whom were not students, fighting on campus, the New London Day reported. Police are currently investigating the situation.
