Pair Of Armed Robberies Reported In New London: Police

No injuries were reported in either incident, according to New London police.

NEW LONDON, CT — Two New London stores were robbed at knife point in recent days, and New London police are asking for the public's help in finding the perpetrators.

The first incident occurred at about 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday at the DB Mart convenience store on Bank Street.

Police said the lone thief, described as a white man wearing all-dark clothing, stole an undetermined amount of cash and other items from the store during the robbery. The store employee on-duty at the time was not injured.

In the second robbery, which occurred at about 11 a.m. on Sunday, an undetermined amount of cash and other items were stolen from Hodges Square Wine and Spirits on Williams Street.

The assailant was described as a slender, white man who was wearing all-dark clothing. Whether police believe the two robberies could be related was not disclosed.
