NEW LONDON, CT — A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on the Gold Star Bridge in New London on Thursday morning, according to Connecticut State Police.

The Day reports the person was walking on the bridge around 7:20 a.m. when they were struck by a vehicle near Exits 83 and 84 on I-95 North. They were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital by Lifestar, according to The Day.
