More about the program:

Hygienic Art’s Do The Write Thing/Picture My World program is a creative after school literacy program in a safe environment where students are able to expand their literary proficiency by learning with writers, tutors and artists at the Hygienic Galleries and Art Park.

The program enriches literary education of students most affected by the lack of creative after-school opportunities. The project reaches beyond the school day and inspire students to better themselves, to raise their own standards in regard to their academic achievements and will inevitably benefit the community of New London as a whole.

Do The Write Thing/Picture My World directly impacts the community and quality of life for at-risk middle school children.

Proudly sponsored by: The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut, The City of New London, Kiwanas, Theodore Bodenwein Foundation, Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, and the Liberty Bank Foundation
