Planned Narcotics Search Leads to Unexpected One
New London Police conducted a narcotics search at an Ocean Avenue residence and unexpectedly found two more suspects.
New London Police VIS and narcotics officers, along with members of the State Police, served a search and seizure warrant at 102 Ocean Ave. after a lengthy investigation.
Upon arrival at the residence at approximately 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, police reportedly found 16 grams of marijuana packaged for sale and 47 Ecstasy pills, according to New London Deputy Chief Peter Reichard.

- Operating a drug factory
- Risk of injury to a minor
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of marijuana with intent to sell
- Possession of hallucinogens
- Possession of hallucinogens with intent to sell
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
2 Grams of Crack Cocaine, 3 Bags of Heroin
At approximately 3:30 p.m. that same day, New London Police VIS and narcotics officers, along with members of the State Police, reportedly saw Travon Brown, 40, and Byron Wilson, 37, at 1 Ocean Ave. in New London.

Police knew both men had warrants for probation violation so they approached the vehicle, Reichard said.
“Upon further investigation, officers located 2.0 grams of crack cocaine, three bags of heroin and $920 cash,” he said.
Brown, of 13 Town Hill Ct., New London; and Wilson, of 18 Town Hill Ct., were arrested on the following charges:
- Violation of probation
- Two counts of narcotics possession
- Possession of narcotics with intent to sell
